Available in a number of configurations, the Generic Air Data Unit (GADU) is a modular, microprocessor controlled system designed to comply with TSO-C106. Monitoring Static and dynamic pressure, total air temperature and barometric settings in conjunction with OAT probes, the GADU computes the aircraft functions of Pressure Altitude, altitude rate, barometric corrected vertical speed, height deviation, computed and indicated airspeed, mach number, true airspeed static air temperature and max airspeed. The computed data is output via up to four standard ARINC 429 serial outputs configurable for either high or low speed.
The modular construction of GADU provides for a rugged unit weighing less than 1.3kg while mounting may be achieved in any attitude via four mounting holes located in the unit base plate.
Software has been developed to RTCA/DO178A level 1 for flight critical applications and the unit qualified to RTCA/DO160C for climatic, environmental and durability characteristics.
